Risk Assessments

A Risk Assessment (often referred to as TBRA Task Based Risk Assessment or WBRA Work Based Risk Assessment) should identify all potential risks arising from the particular work task.

The Risk Assessment should enable the employer to identify and prioritise the measures that need to be taken to comply with the relevant statutory provisions.

The Risk Assessment should be appropriate to the nature of the work and such that it remains valid for a reasonable period of time.

Hazard: Anything with the potential to cause damage or harm

Risk: The likelihood and consequence of a hazard being realised
